Speakers confirmed for annual LBMW Schools Conference in London

Lee Bolton Monier Williams (LBMW) has confirmed the guest speakers at its annual Schools Conference in London.

The annual conference will take place on 2 October 2019 at Vintners’ Hall in London and will focus on building safe, strong and successful schools. The event is being run in association with Ecclesiastical Insurance and EdenTree Investment Management. 
 
Guest speakers include Professor Anne Bamford, strategic director of education and culture at the City of London Corporation, Anne Davey (CEO) and Mike Bingham (operations manager) from the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust and Sam Coutinho an auditor for the charity and independent education sector for over 20 years. 
 
The speakers will cover a range of topics including strategy and risk for schools in the 2020s, five fresh ideas to improve your financial governance and risk management from the inside.
 
Nicholas Hartley, head of innovation at Ecclesiastical, and David Oldfield, fund manager at EdenTree Investment Management, will also speak on identifying, assessing and protecting schools from risk and achieving responsible and sustainable growth in reserves respectively. 
 
There will also be a panel discussion focused on addressing risk decisively covering themes such as money laundering, reputational risks, safeguarding, finance, accounting, and building reserves.
 
Focused on the needs of senior executives and leaders across all sectors of the school system, this annual event aims to facilitate strategic conversations from a cross section of the education sector.
