Ecclesiastical cracks down on fraudsters
Claims specialists at Ecclesiastical Insurance saved over £4million challenging fraudulent claims during 2024 – almost £1million more than in 2023.
Ecclesiastical has retained its top spot in the Fairer Finance Home Insurance league table for a record twentieth time and remains the UK’s most trusted home insurance provider.
The specialist insurer topped the list of 47 insurers including Bank of Scotland, TSB, NFU Mutual, Nationwide and Lloyds Bank, retaining Gold Ribbon status for another year.
Fairer Finance, an independent consumer group, surveys around 20,000 UK banking and insurance customers throughout the year, asking them to rate how satisfied they are with their bank or insurance company.

Ecclesiastical came first in most trusted and customer happiness achieving an overall customer experience score of 82% to top the table once again.
Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive of Benefact Group, the parent company of Ecclesiastical, said: “I’m delighted that we’re once again top of the table and rated as the most trusted insurer in the Fairer Finance league tables.
