Our Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) are here to help you plan for your financial future

One of our IFAs will arrange a face-to-face or telephone meeting so we can understand your circumstances and financial objectives and agree the services we will provide and how much it will cost. We’ll then take you through a 5 step financial planning process to provide you with suitable advice and recommendations to meet your needs.

5 step financial planning process

We get to know you (there is no charge to you for the first meeting/discussion)

  • On the phone or face-to-face
  • Discuss our services
  • Decide which services are right for you
  • Agree how much you will pay for our advice

We identify your needs

  • Gather information about you and your existing financial arrangements
  • Agree your advice priorities
  • Explore your financial needs, goals and aspirations
  • Assess your attitude to risk.

We analyse your situation

  • Review the information provided and your current situation
  • Carry out research into suitable solutions
  • Decide on solutions to meet your needs.

We prepare and present a recommendation and advice report containing

  • Background information
  • Your financial objectives
  • Summary of your attitude to risk
  • An explanation of our recommendations
  • Product information
  • Relevant applications.

We implement the recommendations

  • Complete applications
  • Carry out money laundering checks
  • Submit applications and payment to providers
  • Manage through to policy/plan issue
  • Agree a review plan

We continue to review your plans

We recommend that your financial plans are regularly reviewed and updated. We offer a range of review services to suit all circumstances. Please see ask your adviser for more details.

There are charges for our services. Your adviser will discuss and agree how we are to be paid before proceeding.

How much will independent financial advice cost me?

Our personal financial planning services are fee-based but there is no charge to you for the first meeting and all charges are agreed upfront before any commitment is made on either part. Fees are based on the time spent on the work undertaken and take into account the degree of experience and skills involved as well as the complexity of your situation.
