Awarded Chartered Status

Once again the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has renewed Ecclesiasticals Corporate Chartered Status, demonstrating our commitment to the CII’s code of ethics and level of expertise within our business.

We are one of only five composite insurers who are chartered for their entire UKGI operations and one of only 29 insurers who hold the Charter.

CII logoChartered Status really does set us apart in the industry, not only with you our brokers, but also with end customers.  An endorsement of professional status from such a well-respected third party is a strong indicator of our knowledge and expertise as well as our commitment to acting in a professional and customer orientated manner.

With this designation customers will expect the standard of the advice they receive from us and the professionalism we demonstrate is higher than from other insurers. This is an incentive to us all to go above and beyond to provide high quality, expert advice to our customers which will help further strengthen our professional relationships and support our fifteen customer promises.

This commitment to professionalism is further evidenced by the recent election of Mark Matthews, Risk Management Director, as a non-executive director of the Institute of Risk Management. This is a great achievement on Mark’s part and evidences Ecclesiastical’s market reputation as a leader in the field of Risk Management.

Similarly:

  • Tony Hutchins, Underwriting Director

  • David Bonehill, Claims Director

  • Kate Brooks , Technical Learning Partner

Have each been appointed as board members for the CII Underwriting, Claims and Learning & Development faculties respectively. These faculties provide a specialist forum to encourage and promote competence, expertise and professionalism at all levels across the industry.

Each faculty board is made up of only a handful of experienced insurance professionals so for a relatively small company such as ours to be represented on all these faculties is an indication of their high regard for our expertise.
