I joined Ecclesiastical in 2004 as a team leader after working as sales manager in the financial services department at another insurer.
I was looking for a new challenge, and Ecclesiastical’s Financial Services area was just starting to branch out to work more with independent financial advisors and other business partners, so it seemed like a good time to join. Since starting, my role has been varied and has definitely evolved from the team leader role in which I started.
As Client Service Team Manager, a typical day now includes dealing with business partners in the UK and Ireland, supporting, coaching and leading staff and dealing with housekeeping tasks such as authorising payments to customers. I’m also involved with customer-focused corporate projects.
January 2009 sees another change of role for me as I will be joining the Financial Services Business Development team, something I am really looking forward to. This will involve developing new business relationships and managing existing accounts, and should see me getting out and about a lot more.
