Our scheme is all about setting you up for a future career at the most senior level. It runs for 3½ years for each graduate.
Step one – finding out all about us
The first 2½ years are all about letting you get right under the skin of our business. We want you to find out more about what we all do, so that you understand what really gets you motivated. During this time you’ll work in all of our key areas, such as underwriting, claims, risk control and finance.
You’ll get the chance to:
get stuck into real jobs
take a key role in local and corporate projects
get out to meet brokers with our development underwriters
inspect the risks we insure with our risk management surveyors
work in our underwriting team to learn how we develop new products and technical pricing
learn about managing claims, and gain hands-on experience with claimants.
Step two – deepening your understanding
For the final year, you’ll work in a specialist role in a critical area of the business. This year is all about deepening your understanding of our overall business strategy.
And then…
Well this is really up to you. You’ll be able to choose from the opportunities available at the time. Whichever choice you make, we’ll be expecting you to be one of our senior business leaders of the future.
